Sing to Me About the End of the World

We’ve all pondered at some point or other what the end of the world would be like… I’m quite sure that many of my friends are hoping for some sort of robot to conquer artificial intelligence and it would end in robot war. I don’t see it like that. I don’t really know how i see it.

There is the obvious issue of global warming, but in my runaway imagination, its all quite different. Will the sky open up and release all the fire it has been containing? Will the sun go on holiday and leave us in eternal darkness where we live in artificial light? Would we as humans, be inspired at the challenge to keep civilization as we know it to continue?

Maybe we will rise and be fine. On the other side, where the grass is greener and the sky is different shades of blues and pinks and not different shades of pollution. All our flaws that we try to cover up will be visible and nobody will see… is it vain to think of a utopia, a nirvana? Will we arrive at a place where all the political bull shit doesn’t exist? Or will we create more when we get there?

Maybe there won’t be fire at all, maybe we’ll have a total freeze over, and we’ll be woken up in a million years (if Earth has survived) to robots examining us…

Maybe Earth implodes and we fall into some abyss… would it be dark there?

Either way, its an interesting thought…
